after the death of Buddha and his physician, Doctor Shivago, Thai practitioners have
developed an incredible array of Thai
healing treatments and herbal protocols, which they have used
successfully. Despite a recent increase in worldwide
interest and demand for this type of bodywork, most of the traditions, rituals, and holistic
benefits still remain largely unknown in the west or are being lost
in translation.
Having been fortunate to study with the very best Thai masters, we know that this is not a quick, superficial type of bodywork
modality that can be learned in a weekend
seminar. It is in all its forms unique and profoundly healing for
the giver and the receiver in a
way that requires time and deep levels of commitment, practice and
dedication from the practitioner
to fully access its multidimensional healing benefits. With more
practice and more training, increasingly subtle nuances and depths
appear in this artistic bodywork. Our work is to share this art with
students, researchers and practitioners.
For those reasons, Sacred Bodywork
was created as a holistic bodywork center and
as a
continuing education provider with
the specific goals:

Sacred Bodywork, we are honored to transmit the amazing
spiritual Thai bodywork art in the United States
and to be able to bring the depth of knowledge of these ancient
traditions to a wider audience of massage therapists and bodyworkers
from countries around the world.
