SACRED BODYWORK offers a variety of massage continuing education seminars and advanced bodywork training. Plan your continuing education credits for license renewal, get your continuing education hours, expand your professional practice and be certified in Traditional Thai massage- Northern Style, Sacred Hot Stone Massage and/or in Hawaiian LomiLomi massage - Hawaiian Temple Bodywork. Other Spa Treatment protocols, Eastern massage and bodywork workshops available as well.

Our holistic teaching approach and high level of instruction create the foundation for learning ancient Eastern healing arts. Students will receive detailed instruction in the Nuad Bo-Rarn Traditional Thai massage or in the Hawaiian LomiLomi massage- Hawaiian Temple Bodywork traditions.

The methodical step-by-step training includes fully explained and demonstrated massage sequences, with basic, optional and advanced variations. Students will learn to sense and feel the energy flow and its healing benefits. Emphasis is placed on proper body mechanics, movements, transitions and hands-on techniques for each modality, cautions to observe and specific contraindications for each type of massage. Each student will also have supervised practice of the materials, individual follow up, invitations to free massage clinics and recommendations for future practice.

SACRED BODYWORK healing arts classes are designed to provide the best possible hands-on bodywork and massage continuing education programs for all of our students. Our emphasis is on quality massage training, one-on-one personal attention, and the ability to provide each student with the necessary tools he or she needs to perform these modalities to the highest professional standards.

Buddhist temples in Thailand have not only sustained monastic communities, but have also served as schools, village news centers, hospital dispensaries, employment information centers, hostel, and community centers; we are blessed to have Wat Buddharangsi in Miami/ Homestead. Mama Lek Chaiya (THIWONG)

Sacred Bodywork is honored to introduce one of the finest Thai massage teachers in Thailand: The legendary "Mama Lek Chaiya"-

 

Today, we at Sacred Bodywork honor one of its great Thai massage masters: Mama Lek Chaiya. Lek Chaiya holds a prominent profile in the Traditional Thai massage arts and is a recognized inspiration among her colleagues and students around the world. For many generations in Lek Chaiya’s family, the traditional Thai Healing Arts have been handed down from mother to daughter and Mama Lek began her training with her mother, a revered healer in Jom Thong district, Chiangmai. As a young woman, she moved to Lampang where she raised her family and continued to work in Ancient Traditional Thai Massage.

 

In 1982 she came to Chiangmai to join the staff of The Association of Northern Herbs at Wat Suan Dok.  When the association was disbanded, she founded ‘Ancient Thai Massage Lek Chaiya’, located in front of Wat Suan Dok and remained as owner and director until 1994, after which she operated out of her home until 1997. Then she launched her new venture with her son (Maew, Tananan Willson): Lek Chaiya Nerve-Touch Traditional Thai Massage School with Medicinal Herbs Packs.

 

Lek Chaiya has received many awards and recognitions over the 40 years of her outstanding contributions to the Authentic Thai Traditional Healing Arts. And now she has been appointed Lecturer of Thai Massage by the Project of Rehabilitation for Thai Masseurs), Foundation of Health Development and Staff in Bangkok.
